I’ve been a journalist for more than fifteen years working across television, radio, newspapers, magazines and online. I am currently teaching online and video with Monash University’s Journalism department located in Caulfield (Melbourne, Victoria).
I have a passion for journalism and believe today’s reporter MUST be equipped with an arsenal of multimedia skills if they’re to succeed in the rapidly evolving news landscape.
While the traditional media believe the sky is falling when it comes to the internet, this hysteria is not warranted. Rather, today’s journalist has never been more skilled, information has never been more accessible and news organisations need to realise they’re an integral part of this brave new world and adapt accordingly.
Well put, AOJ!
